This is a good quality industrial drill. It has a 118 degree conventional point, so if you need a split point, you should sharpen it yourself. Which you should expect to do anyway in an industrial setting. In fact, I recommend that shops should buy conventional point drills, since they are going to need to resharpen them anyway and a conventional point is a little cheaper. Plus, they can resharpen them with other types of special points as needed for specific applications.
